The snow has melted, the grass is green and the sun is shining. Welcome to the Summer of Saving. What a time to be alive.

A common misconception is that saving money is boring, and directly correlates with “FOMO.” We are here to debunk that myth. Whether you are saving for a milestone, an experience or just for the thrill of it, FirstBank is here to help you celebrate your savings. With that in mind, consider this your official introduction to “Frugal Fridays.”

How It Works

Every Friday starting June 29, the FirstBank Facebook and Instagram accounts will post a Saving is in Style technique. These tips could range from buying in bulk to purchasing your plane tickets early. Stay tuned to catch all of the tips.

How You Can Win

This is where you enter into the equation. Comment on a “Frugal Fridays” post with your own unique cost-saving idea and be entered into a giveaway. Two qualified submissions will be randomly selected the following Wednesday (with the exception of the week of July 2; winners will be announced Thursday, July 5), and each winner will receive a prize relevant to the Saving is in Style technique that FirstBank posts. Gift cards galore.

What You Can Win

If you pinch some pennies by drinking the corporate coffee blend, you earned a few trips to the barista on us. Bring your lunch to work instead of swinging through the local fast food joint? Let us help out with your grocery bill. Have a really good travel saving hack? You could win an airline voucher.

If you have a crafty way to save, you could be rewarded for it. Save, share, and win. Consider this FirstBank’s way of contributing to your financial health. Because saving is always in style.

Certain restrictions apply. See official rules here for details or go to efirstbank.com/savingisinstyle to learn more.

  • I buy in large quantities to save money. Then I spend an afternoon or evening cooking and/or prepping everything thing for the week to save time. It’s a win win for me. Time is money.
