We love spreading goodness at FirstBank. That’s why we’ve set out to surprise customers and community members with our “Acts of Goodness” initiative. This time, we’re giving back to a local Suns fan who’s spent the last several years caring for his ailing mother.

Meet Josh Hinds

Josh is a FirstBank customer and lifelong Phoenix Suns fan who regularly puts others before himself. For the last several years, he has been a diligent caretaker for his ill mother. He even accepted a work-from-home job so that he is always available to help his mother at a moment’s notice. In order to give her the best care possible, he sacrificed many of his hobbies and things that usually bring him joy, such as riding his dirt bike, traveling, and going to sporting events.

In honor of Josh’s dedication, FirstBank partnered with the Phoenix Suns to reward his selflessness. Best of all, it was a complete surprise.

The Big Surprise

Josh arrived at Footprint center on Sunday, January 29th, under the guise that he was getting a tour of the stadium. Little did he know that his friends and family were waiting to surprise him with a game of 1-on-1 with Phoenix Suns Guard Duane Washington Jr. and gifts that included Suns game tickets, a Suns Team Shop gift card, and Phoenix Suns swag.”

“Josh was completely shocked,” said Nicole Goodman. “He was in awe at seeing his name on all the arena screens, and I could tell he had a great time.” Nicole helped coordinate the surprise for Josh, who she knows both as a customer and former coworker.
