Colorado Gives Day 2022 was Tuesday, Dec. 6, and we’re happy to report another successful day of giving!

100,909 donations totaling more than $53.2 million benefitted over 3,000 nonprofit organizations.

What is Colorado Gives Day?

Colorado Gives Day (CGD) is an annual one-day online giving event benefitting over 3,000 nonprofits and, as a result, all Coloradans. It’s scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 6.

FirstBank partnered with Community First Foundation (CFF) in 2010 to create Colorado Gives Day, and since then, the giving movement has raised an astounding $362 million.

How Can You Help?

Coloradans can give as little as $1 to a cause they care about. Early giving begins on Nov. 1, all donations made from Nov. 1^st through Dec. 6^th will count towards Colorado Gives Day. Visit coloradogives.org, where you can shop nonprofit/s by location or cause, and select the ones you’d like to donate to.

Keep in mind, the giving doesn’t have to end after Colorado Gives Day. You can help your favorite nonprofits year-round by visiting coloradogives.org. It’s a great way to show support to organizations that do so much to help our communities.

Give it Forward 2022

At FirstBank we’re guided by our ethos of banking for good. One of the ways we’ve put that into practice is by launching our Give it Forward campaign in 2014.

Why do we do that? The answer is simple.

In addition to spreading some goodwill, we’ve found these acts of goodness encourage people to Give it Forward by donating on Colorado Gives Day.

For our Give it Forward surprise this year we surprised nearly 700 Coloradans with more than $30,000 in in free fuel.

How to Amplify Your Giving

FirstBank, Community First Foundation, and other sponsors have partnered to create a $1.4 Million Incentive Fund. This fund will amplify giving on Colorado Gives Day by proportionally matching the percentage amount raised by each nonprofit. For example, if nonprofit X raises 10 percent of the total donation amount on CGD, they will receive 10 percent of the Incentive Fund as a matching contribution.

Contributing to your preferred nonprofit on Colorado Gives Day and encouraging a friend, family, or neighbor to do the same is a great way to help your chosen nonprofit benefit from the Incentive Fund.

Colorado Gives Day Trivia

Game on! Enjoy some online Colorado Gives Day Trivia from Monday, Nov. 28 through Friday, Dec. 2. hosted by FirstBank.

We will post trivia questions on our Facebook page twice a day, and winners will be chosen at random from the pool of correct answers. Winners will receive a cash contribution toward a nonprofit of their choosing. Increase your odds of winning by inviting donors, employees, volunteers, families, friends – ANYONE – to play!

Winners and their nonprofits will be announced on Facebook within two hours of posting each question.
