FirstBank is celebrating its 10-year anniversary in the Roaring Fork Valley. We opened our first location in the valley in 2012 and have since grown to four branches, including locations in Carbondale, Glenwood Springs, Aspen, and, most recently, Basalt

In honor of this milestone, our Roaring Fork Valley branches will host a series of feel-good activities and events to “surprise and delight” residents. From pet adoptions and complimentary breakfasts to wish list fulfillment for Roaring Fork Valley teachers, there will be something for everyone.

To kick off the celebration, local branches will display a mural inviting community members to suggest acts of kindness to their friends and neighbors. Over the next few months, the bank will collect acts of goodness to help spread the “banking for good” philosophy throughout the community.

Find your fur-ever friend at FirstBank

In December, we partnered with Eagle County Animal Services to host a pet adoption event at our Glenwood Springs branch. Several people stopped by to meet some adorable, adoptable animals.

Give Where You Live

As a way to give back to the Roaring Fork Valley, FirstBank invited its residents to vote for their favorite Colorado Gives Day nonprofit categories for a collective $1,000 donation. From Glenwood Springs and Carbondale to Basalt and Aspen, nonprofits help make our community a wonderful place to live, work, and play.

With a resounding 49 votes for the animal-related organizations category, we have donated $250 to each nonprofit listed below.

Make a Commuter’s Day

In January, we partnered with Aspen Mini Donuts to hand out free treats and warm coffee to more than 150 Roaring Fork Transportation Authority (RFTA) commuters at the Carbondale Park and Ride!

Morning Coffee on FirstBank

Our FristBankers went out to Deja Brew and CC’s Café to surprise unsuspecting customers with free breakfast.

Nurses Week

FirstBank helped provide meals to night shift nurses at the Valley View Hospital during Nurses Week in May.

Other upcoming events include:

  • Food drive through FirstBank: In partnership with area farms, the bank will invest in providing valley food banks with fresh produce.
  • Teacher’s wish lists checked off: FirstBank will help teachers and students return to school with a stocked classroom.
