In March, we celebrate Women’s History Month by recognizing and celebrating some of FirstBank’s women in leadership.

Today, we’re featuring Sabrina Blosky, Contact Center Manager.

Hometown: Muskego, WI

Years at FirstBank: 11 years

1. In three to four sentences, describe your experience in getting to where you are today.

A blend of personal and professional growth has marked my experience in getting to where I am today. I’ve navigated unique challenges and opportunities through various roles within the Contact Center at FirstBank. I’ve had the pleasure of working alongside some amazing leaders who have helped shape the trajectory of where I am today. I continue to be humbled by their willingness to walk alongside me during different seasons of my life and career — always teaching me to lead with empathy, authenticity, and a commitment to empowering those around me.

2. How has FirstBank’s companywide philosophy of “banking for good” impacted your life and your career?

I’ve always believed it’s my responsibility to do what’s right while being a good person. Approaching life that way has truly given me more than I’ve given — it has shaped me into a person and leader I am today. Working at a company whose philosophy aligns so closely with my values provides a sense of belonging and purpose, making showing up each day that much easier. When you give your time to help those you lead or to folks in the community, you’re not just making a difference in their lives; you’re also enriching your own. It inspires others to do the same, creating a cycle of kindness. Who doesn’t love watching a ripple effect of positivity?

3. What is the best career advice you have for the next generation of leaders? What would you tell someone just starting out?

Stay curious. We bring so much of ourselves to work every single day, and it’s easy to silo our thinking to what we know and what we are comfortable with. Staying curious lets us uncover opportunities and experience growth and simply put, affords us the ability to change our mindsets in a way that allows us to see through the eyes of those we lead. Sometimes, asking questions no one else wants to can be a vulnerable space, but it ultimately allows for more authentic interactions.

4. What is one thing you’re most proud of that you’ve accomplished while working at FirstBank?

I’m proud of the resiliency I’ve demonstrated over the course of my career. During my time as a leader, I have navigated several personal challenges, one of which was a cancer diagnosis. Experiencing such a life-changing event forced me to self-reflect on how I wanted to show up for myself and my team. I take pride in contributing to an environment where people feel valued and empowered to do their best work by authentically showing up as themselves.

5. If you had your own talk show, who would be your first guest?

My first guest would be Ilona Maher from the U.S. Women’s Rugby Team. Since the 2024 Olympics, she has gained traction by challenging gender norms and promoting body positivity for young women. She’s breaking barriers with a balance of grit, grace, and a healthy dose of wit.

6. Considering March is Women’s History Month, which historical figure/s would you most like to meet and why?

Growing up and to this day, I’ve been a huge sports fanatic. I found it incredible that girls could be strong professional athletes, and I was heavily influenced by their ability to break barriers in male-dominated arenas. Mia Hamm has always promoted strength and confidence in young females and made me believe I could dream big and be strong.
