December 1, 2020 The season of giving is here and FirstBank kicked off the festivities by paying for groceries for Colorado shoppers prior to the Thanksgiving weekend. When customers arrived at local King Soopers and City Market locations on Nov. 23, to pick up their online orders, store staff delivered their bagged groceries and an unexpected surprise: FirstBank had covered their entire bill. In addition spreading some good cheer and covering more than $25,000 in groceries, lucky recipients were encouraged to consider “giving it forward” by donating as little as $5 to a charity of their choice on Colorado Gives Day (Dec. 8). The annual giving event is meant to inspire others to contribute to the causes they most care about at a time when it is needed the most. FirstBank is the presenting partner of Colorado Gives Day, which has helped raise more than $257 million for Colorado nonprofits since its inception in 2010.
