October 22, 2019 “After what it’s done for me, I want to keeping bringing more yoga to more veterans.” In our first installment of the Colorado Gives Day Nonprofit video series, we’re happy to present Comeback Yoga. Comeback Yoga is dedicated to assisting veterans, active duty military and their support network to cultivate a healthy lifestyle through free access to yoga. These appropriately designed classes are held at various locations throughout the Front Range, including the VA hospital, VA Outpatient Clinics, VFW Post #1, military installations, and other veteran-friendly locations. Trauma-informed yoga helps individuals with military ties develop a resiliency in response to their life experiences, which may include post-traumatic stress. Comeback Yoga also provides relevant master teacher training, in addition to scholarships, enabling others the ability to offer yoga classes best suited for the military community.
