Capture the Cube: Basalt Recap

Over the summer, Capture the Cube took over the Basalt community. Each week, one FirstBank cube (4”x4”) was dropped around some of Basalt’s favorite locations. For every cube found, winners were able to redeem the cube at the new FirstBank Basalt branch (498 Market St.) for a unique prize valued up to $600.*

Grand Opening Celebration

We celebrated FirstBank’s grand opening in Basalt, Colorado! On May 11, 12, and 13 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at 498 Market Street in the Willits Town Center. We had several community members stop by to check out the new branch and indulge in FREE food and treats from local vendors!* See a full schedule below.

NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN CAPTURE THE CUBE BASALT. CERTAIN RESTRICTIONS AND REQUIREMENTS.

1.      ELIGIBILITY. CAPTURE THE CUBE BASALT is open to individuals who are eighteen (18) years of age or older as of 6/6/2022, and are either legal residents of the 50 United States/District of Columbia or are international/foreign exchange students possessing a current valid United States student visa and are residing within the 50 United States/District of Columbia. FirstBank employees and their immediate family members are not eligible to win. Each entrant, by participating in CAPTURE THE CUBE BASALT, agrees to be bound by these Official Rules and the Sponsor’s (FirstBank Holding Company) decisions.

2.      TIMING. CAPTURE THE CUBE BASALT begins 6/6/2022 and ends 8/26/2022 (the “Promotion Period”).

3.      HOW TO ENTER AND WIN. Eligible participants may enter by finding a cube and bringing it into the FirstBank Basalt Branch, located at 498 Market Street, Basalt, CO, 81621, to redeem it for a prize. Cubes redeemed for a prize must have official markings to be deemed valid. FirstBank will post a clue on the bank’s social media platforms on where to find the cube. However, engaging in social media is not required to participate in this promotion. Eligible participants may win only once during Promotion Period.

4.      CONDITIONS. An eligible entrant may only enter via the registration methods as described above. Incomplete entries are void. By entering, entrants acknowledge compliance with these Official Rules including all eligibility requirements. All entries become the property of the Sponsor and will not be returned. No substitutions or transfer of prize permitted.

5.      CONSUMER DISCLOSURE: PRIZE DESCRIPTION. You have not yet won. There will be twelve (12) prizes that range in retail value from $250 to $600. One prize per household for the duration of the promotion. Each winner agrees that he/she shall not sell, resell, auction, barter, assign, exchange, place in commerce, transfer, give away, donate, or otherwise convey any prize that is received as a prize. Prize will not be honored if these restrictions have been violated. All costs and expenses associated with the prize acceptance and use not specified herein as being provided, including but not limited to lodging, transportation costs, meals, beverages, gratuities and other expenses incurred by accepting the prize are the sole responsibility of the winner. All prize winners, should they be selected, agree to be bound by the terms and conditions of the promotion as provided by the Sponsor.

6.      DETERMINATION OF WINNERS. Winners will be awarded by, finding a valid cube and bringing it into the Basalt branch (489 Market Street) to be redeemed for a prize. Cubes redeemed for a prize must have official markings to be deemed valid. A person or household may only win one (1) prize from any contest/promotion/giveaway hosted by the Sponsor during a calendar year.

Odds of winning depend upon the number of eligible participants. Any attempt to deliberately damage the content or operation of this CAPTURE THE CUBE BASALT is unlawful and subject to legal action by the Sponsor. Sponsor’s selection of the winners is binding and conclusive. Winners agree to the use by Sponsor and its designees of their name, city and state and photograph/likeness for advertising, promotional and other purposes, worldwide and in perpetuity, in any and all forms of media, now known or hereafter devised (including and without limitation, the Internet) without additional compensation, except where prohibited by law.

8.      TAXES. All applicable federal, state and local tax associated with winning a prize in the CAPTURE THE CUBE BASALT will be the sole responsibility of the winner. The winner shall be provided a 1099 form for income tax purposes.

9.      LIMITATIONS ON LIABILITY AND DISCLAIMERS. By participating in the CAPTURE THE CUBE BASALT, entrants, agree to release, indemnify and hold harmless Sponsor from and against any injuries, losses, damages, claims, actions and any liability of any kind resulting from or arising from participation in the CAPTURE THE CUBE BASALT or acceptance, possession, use, misuse or nonuse of the prizes (including, without limitation, any travel or travel-related activity thereto) that may be awarded. Sponsor is not responsible for technical, computer, mechanical, printing, typographical, human or other errors relating to or in connection with the CAPTURE THE CUBE BASALT, including, without limitation, errors which may occur in connection with the administration of the CAPTURE THE CUBE BASALT, the processing of entries, the announcement of the prizes or in any CAPTURE THE CUBE BASALT related materials; or for stolen, lost, late, misdirected, damaged, incomplete, inaccurate, undelivered, delayed or illegible entries or postage due entries or mail; or for electronic, computer, or telephonic malfunction error, fail to enter into the processing system, or are processed, reported, or transmitted late or incorrectly or are lost for any reason including computer, telephone, paper transfer, or human or other error. If in the Sponsor’s opinion, there is any suspected or actual evidence of electronic or non-electronic tampering with any portion of the CAPTURE THE CUBE BASALT, or if computer viruses, bugs, unauthorized intervention, fraud, or technical difficulties or failures compromise or corrupt or affect the administration, integrity, security, fairness, or proper conduct of the CAPTURE THE CUBE BASALT, the Sponsor at its sole discretion reserves the right to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process and/or void any entries submitted fraudulently, to modify or suspend the CAPTURE THE CUBE BASALT, or to terminate the CAPTURE THE CUBE BASALT. As a condition of entering the CAPTURE THE CUBE BASALT, entrants, or if a minor, their parents or legal guardians agrees that; a) under no circumstances will entrants be permitted to obtain awards for, and entrants hereby waive all rights to claim, punitive, incidental, consequential, or any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses; b) all causes of action arising out of or connected with this CAPTURE THE CUBE BASALT or the prize awarded, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action; and c) any and all claims, judgments, and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred and in no event shall entrant be entitled to receive attorney’s fees or other legal costs. Sponsor reserves the right to modify prize award procedures. As used in this section, “Sponsor” means the Sponsor named in section 11 below and its officers, directors or board members, agents, representatives, and employees.

10.  GOVERNING LAW. This CAPTURE THE CUBE BASALT and these Official Rules shall be interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of Colorado without regard to its principles of conflicts of law and jurisdiction and venue shall be solely within the State of Colorado. This CAPTURE THE CUBE BASALT is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED OR RESTRICTED BY LAW. Participants are required to obey local ordinances and respect public property.
