💡 In 2022, more than 19,000 individual donors raised over $6 million for 918 local nonprofits. Arizona Gives Day has raised over $36 million since its inception in 2013.

What is Arizona Gives Day?

Arizona Gives Day is a statewide, 24-hour, online giving campaign organized by the Alliance of Arizona Nonprofits and Arizona Grantmakers Forum, with FirstBank as the presenting sponsor.

Donated funds help hundreds of Arizona nonprofits continue their critical work in the community.

Give It Forward

This month, FirstBank went to three Valley gas stations to “give it forward” to unsuspecting patrons. With the help of Phoenix Suns forward Ish Wainright and Go the Suns Gorilla, we gave Arizona drivers a special surprise. Watch the video to see what happened 👇.

Launched in 2014, Give It Forward is an annual surprise and delight campaign designed to spread goodwill and encourage community members to consider giving it forward by donating to a local nonprofit on Arizona Gives Day. In the past, FirstBank has surprised community members by posing as vet techs to pay for vet bills, pumping free fuel and bagging free groceries to the tune of thousands of dollars.

In the end, FirstBank handed more than $10,000 in gift cards in hopes lucky recipients would consider “giving it forward” – even if it was just $5 – to their favorite Arizona Gives Day nonprofit.

How You Can Help

You can help an Arizona nonprofit in one of three ways:

1. Schedule a donation during the early giving period. Donations between March 14 and April 4 will count towards an organization’s grand fundraising total.
2. Donate on Arizona Gives Day, Tuesday, April 4, 2023 (12 a.m. – 12 p.m. MST).
3. Create a fundraising page. Fundraising pages allow you to create your own personal fundraiser to raise money for local nonprofits supporting your passion. As an individual fundraiser for your chosen nonprofit(s), you set the goal, you get the word out, and you become a champion for your cause. 

AZ Gives Day Incentive Prize Pool

FirstBank teamed up with Freeport-McMoran Foundation and Thunderbirds Charities to offer nonprofits a chance to receive additional support. There are 122 prizes totaling $180,000, which will be given out based on select categories that include the organization that receives the most individual donations, most amount raised, random Golden Ticket prizes and more.

Contributing to your preferred nonprofit and encouraging your friends, family and neighbors to do the same is the best way to help your chosen nonprofit benefit from the incentive fund.
