October 29, 2019 “Knowing that you can’t save them all is tough, but being able to save some and give them a life they truly deserve is more rewarding than anything I’ve ever done.” In our second installment of the Colorado Gives Day Nonprofit video series, we’re happy to present Rocky Mountain Lab Rescue. This volunteer-run, Broomfield-based nonprofit is dedicated to finding and re-homing Labrador retrievers and Lab mixes. They identify local and out-of-state “high kill shelters,” and their most at-risk dogs, then work to find foster homes before they are euthanized. Beyond saving these wonderful dogs, the organization schedules veterinary appointments, transports these animals across the country, and processes adoption applications. Aside from rescuing labs through donations, they also collect non-monetary items such as collars, leashes, crates/kennels, toys, treats, and food. Rocky Mountain Lab Rescue has no shelter, and solely relies on foster homes. The more foster homes they have, the more dogs they can save. If you’d like to get involved as a foster, please fill out this application. To learn more about Rocky Mountain Lab Rescue and their involvement in Colorado Gives Day, watch the video below.
