Select FirstBank locations are participating in a shoe drive benefitting Soles4Souls, a nonprofit dedicated to fighting poverty and reducing waste through recycling of unwanted shoes.

Customers may drop off any lightly-used shoes at any of our participating Colorado branches April 5 – April 30.

How does my donation help people?

Soles4Souls distributes gently-used footwear to adults and children in need all across the United States and around the world. In addition, they help support underserved communities with training and support via their micro-enterprise program, which provides individuals with financial skills as well as the income they need to survive.

How does my donation help the planet?

According to the Environmental Protection Agency, over 146 million tons of waste ended up in a landfill in 2018 (the last year of reporting). You can easily help reduce the amount of trash sent to landfills just by recycling your unwanted shoes. Soles4Souls has saved 67 million pounds of shoes and clothing from going to the landfill since 2006.
