FirstBank Multicultural Banking Center Vice President Cristal Corral Macias was recognized by the Colorado Bankers Association (CBA) as a “Banker of Distinction” for her contribution to improving financial literacy among businessowners, women, children and multicultural groups.

Cristal and four others were honored during the CBA Legislative Briefing session on March 2, 2022. The award is presented to banking representatives who go above the call of duty to inform and financially empower their customers and community members.

Cristal has been doing precisely that since joining FirstBank over a decade ago. In that time, she has dedicated herself to providing families with the resources they need to be financially successful. Cristal has created a curriculum for the bank’s various financial health classes at FirstBank’s Multicultural Banking Center and has personally taught several courses, believing financial literacy should be accessible to all.

She has also worked with numerous nonprofits outside of her role at the bank. For example, Cristal has taught financial literacy classes at the Centro San Juan Diego, which provides education, family support, and leadership formation to the Hispanic community. In collaboration with Adelante Community Development, she has hosted a series of web interviews with Hispanic and Latino leaders, government officials, attorneys, and influencers to educate members of those communities.

Cristal is a valued member of our FirstBanker team and a true embodiment of banking for good.

Congratulations Cristal!
