Arizona Gives Day 2021 was another successful 24 hours of giving. Day-of donations amounted to over $7 million and helped 982 nonprofits continue their vital work in the community.

💡 Arizona Gives Day has raised over $23 million since its inception in 2013.

What is Arizona Gives Day?

Arizona Gives Day is a statewide, 24-hour, online giving campaign organized by the Alliance of Arizona Nonprofits and Arizona Grantmakers Forum, with FirstBank as the presenting sponsor.

Donated funds help over 1,000 Arizona nonprofits continue their critical work in the community.

How You Can Help

The AZ Gives Day early giving period is now open!

You may preschedule your AZ Gives Day donation using these steps:

  • Visit www.azgives.org
  • Select “Donate Now!”
  • Choose your preferred nonprofit and click “Donate”
    • You can filter nonprofits by their mission, location, and tax credit status

Passionate about a specific cause? Become a fundraiser!

If you’re inspired to help a cause that you’re particularly passionate about, you can sign up to become a fundraiser for you chosen nonprofit. Simply visit www.azgives.org/fundraisers and follow the five easy steps.

AZ Gives Day Incentive Prize Pool

FirstBank has teamed up with Freeport-McMoran Foundation to offer nonprofits a chance to receive additional support. 84 prizes totaling $160,000 will be given out based on select categories that include:

  • Most dollars/unique donors raised
  • Power hours: most dollars raised each hour between 7am-10am and 1pm-4pm at a $25, $50 and $100 level
  • Golden tickets: random drawing each hour for donations $25 or more
  • Early Giving: most dollars/unique donors

As you can see, contributing to your preferred nonprofit and encouraging your friends, family and neighbors to do the same is the best way to help your chosen nonprofit benefit from the incentive fund.

Give it Forward 2021

At FirstBank we’re guided by our ethos of banking for good, which means the giving never stops. Launched in 2014, FirstBank’s Give it Forward has surprised community members by posing as vet techs to pay for vet bills, pumping free fuel and bagging free groceries to spread goodwill and encourage community members to consider giving it forward by donating to a nonprofit of their choosing.

This year, we surprised Arizonans at three Fry’s locations by paying for their entire purchase. In total, FirstBank covered the cost of nearly $8,000 worth of grocery bills. In return, FirstBank asked families to consider “giving it forward,” even if it’s just $5, to a charity of their choice during this year’s Arizona Gives Day.
