This Saturday June 20^th, 2015 from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm FirstBank will participate in the first ever Job Fair at Juneteenth. This job fair will take place at the Juneteenth Music Festival located at 27^th and Welton in the Historic Five Points Neighborhood in downtown Denver.

Juneteenth marks the anniversary of June 19, 1865 which is the day that Texas slaves learned of their freedom. Denver has been celebrating Juneteenth since the early 1950s and our celebration grew to be the nation’s largest by the 1980s. Unfortunately the festival came to an end in the 1990s due to the social and economic issues that Denver was facing at the time. Luckily community members, leaders, and Denver organizations were determined to bring Juneteenth back to Colorado so in 2012 Juneteenth Music Festival was established. Last year the Juneteenth Music Festival attracted over 25,000 attendees! Their largest attendance yet and this year they are expecting even more! There is something for everyone at this entertaining event! Whether you are looking for a job or looking something to do on a Saturday afternoon Juneteenth is the place for you!
