August 26, 2015 The first days of Monday-Wednesday-Friday and Tuesday-Thursday classes have come and gone, and it feels a bit weird for me. The past five years of my career were spent welcoming CSU students to a new school year and giving them a preview of the up coming semester. Often times I would explain that they were required to write a blog for the class, but here I am writing a blog post the first week of the semester. The first day also included my connection to students as a fellow Ram. I once sat in those very classrooms and pondered my future. I remember sitting in a Western Civilization class my freshman year when one of my favorite professors imparted one of the best nuggets of advice I received as a student: pursue a career that makes you happy. I am very fortunate to have achieved that goal, and now I get to tell my story to others. While it seems a bit strange to be away from CSU during the first couple days of the semester, I couldn’t stay away that long. I am excited to be on campus on Wednesday, August 26th (until 2pm – outside Rockwell Hall West) in a different role. Naiely Miranda and I will be around to have relaxed discussions about what it is like to work at FirstBank. We encourage students to stop by for snacks, to spin our prize wheel, or even play a round or two of FirstBank cornhole between classes. FirstBank has been a Denver Post Top Workplaces award winner four years in a row (2012-2015). This award is a testimonial of our employees’ happiness with an amazing employer. Stop by and say hello to a fellow Ram! Related Posts FirstBank in Arizona FirstBank VS Food FirstBank Keeps Trucking in Northern Colorado
